hello everyone, a had this not so bright idea that i would clean crank location sensor .so i sanded lightly and took out fishing. motor would not stay running. when i would try to give some throttle would stall out. did i cause this problem. or is this something else. it is getting fuel.could someone explain how sensor works and purpose. any help welcome.

It may have damaged it, if sanded too much it would affect the air gap.Comment

thanks for response, i sanded very lightly. was trying to do some preventative maintanance. cleaned battery terminals spark plugs, they looked clean. maybe something fouled from testing motor in driveway. i used ear muffs, steady stream of water coming out.Comment

225 stalls under load
hello could anyone tell me why motor runs great on trailer. but stalls in water under load. and by running on ear muffs can i foul motor up. i installed new crank position sensor no difference. wasted money. thanks in advance.Comment
