1999 VMAX 200 data connection

Hello,

I recently purchased a new GPS unit for my boat and am interested in getting a data read from my engine. I have the Lowrance HDS-10. This unit is capable of reading much from the engine and I realize that I might get limited data but anything is better than nothing!!!! Is this possible? If so, can someone kindly point me in the right direction for the cables, sensors, adaptors etc that I would need to achieve this?

That engine is not NMEA 2000 network compatible, only the 2006 and newer HPDI and four stroke fuel injection models are compatible.

Hey, thanks for your prompt reply, I appreciate it. Do you think that there is anything I could buy that is after market in the way of sensors to allow me to monitor some engine functions and fuel use?

No there is not available, Electronics on engine are compatible.
