I'm havings problems with my gauge which is connected to twin F225 XRD outboards. I am only getting time, fuel level and battery voltage readings. Should also be getting speed and trip distance. Before I purchase a new gauge is it possible that I can trouble shoot it someway to possibly repair it

Speedo tube or pickup on gearcase may be plugged up, clean pickup hole in front edge of gearcase.

Does the boat have to be out of the water to do this

Probably would the hole is on lower portion of gearcase

I cleaned the pickup hole in the gearcase and the problem is still there no speed and no trip meter
