Water Pressure Gauge

I just installed a yamaha water pressure gauge on my 2003 ox66 200hp motor, i get no water pressure at idle with the flush ears on is this normal?

Might be not enough water from garden hose ............try it in water as that is where it has to work

No water pressure at idle is normal, should have at least 10psi at full throttle.
