tilt and trim will not go up all the way

I have a 2008 vmax 200. The tilt does not go up far enough to engage the safety lever on the motor. Is there a way to adjust the motor to go up more? Also when lifting the motor all the way up it ****s up the few inches.

Low on fluid or something binding up.
Can you lift the motor the rest of the way by hand if you open the bypass?

Sounds like it low on oil you can lift it up manually but it is heavy........... check oil first

release the manual screw and lift like hell, you will need two people to do this if starting from half way up as the motor will go back down as soon as you release the screw .

Be careful not to jam your fingers
