I have a 15hp 2009 4stroke Yamaha I bought last year with manual start up; it's the hardest cold start up motor I've ever had, if you don't pull the cord just right, you hit a stop point like a wall. I knew I should have bought the electric start for a extra couple of hundred bucks, just want to pass this on to future Yamaha buyers. A dealer recently told me that this is a frequent complaint. Does anybody else have this problem or know a solution? I'm tempted to sell this one and buy another 15 Yamaha with the ELECTRIC START! It runs great, it's just the cold start up that's a pain!
