to do or not to do,
I have a proline 1999 2700 model,,with stainless marine dual engine bracket.
it had twin yamaha 300 hp on it,(dual engine bracket has a plate attached to it so that the engines sit wider out,it moves each engine out an inch each corner).
now I want to repower with 2 yamaha 350 hp outboards I have.
yesterday I installed them on the boat,,and it seems that transom and bracket have no problem with weight issues etc.
I have the dual con*****er command link setup, with cables, gauges, hubs, keyswitches etc, also the software to hook everything up. this i will do tomorrow.
now,,,,,my key question I have for you ,,is this a wise move,,or should I totally forget about this setup,,remove 1 engine, and buy a single command link con*****er? would this proline 2700 1999 be able to hold this weight ?
it is not about the totall max power I have,,the boat is rated max 500 hp,,and now it is 700hp.I will never throtlle the boat wide open,,I just want the accelaration for quick plane,,,and rest will be *****ing for fishing purposes.
my utmost important question is,,what is your opinion of this setup about proline 2700/stainless marine twin outboard bracket(reinforced to the side steps),and the twin 350"S????
really to get replies ,,as tomorrow I start with installation cables, shifter etc
regards
