  • Throttle control problem

I have a Sea Hunt CC with a 2003 Yami 90 4 stroke. Just took the shrink wrap of and getting it ready to splash. I noticed that my throttle control is very very hard to push forward. No problem going in reverse. Looking for suggestions. My guess is that the throttle control cable has corrosion. The linkage at the motor apprears to be free and clear. I can move the linkage quite easily by hand.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Solved the problem.

When the marina winterized my boat they apparently didn't like the way my throttle operated. Was checking my yami manual and found that there is a throttle control tension screw under the cover of the control unit. I found the screw had been tightened all the way down. loosened the screw and everything works perfectly.
