Yamaha 90 ELTF pre buy questions

I'm looking at the Yamaha 90, the owner doesn't know anything about it, he thinks it's a late 80's vintage. Model is 6HIL s/n is 473315. Where can I find info on this engine, what are troublesome issues to look for? I'll take it to a shop for a pre-buy checkout. Are there particular weak spots or strengths of this model?

That is a 1989 model 90hp. It has always been a good motor, Yamaha still makes that model

I have that year/model. Weak spot is corrosion. Trim/tilt and shift rod are prime offenders. This is for salt water motors.
