  • Thermoswitch Conductive Grease?

Hi - Newby here - retired master auto tech.

Replacing thermoswitches on my Yam 115, have the manual and find nothing in the book or on this forum about using a conductive grease/paste between the sensor and the head. We do this in the auto world and wonder if anyone has a recommendation.

    Thanks in advance, JJ_in_Fla.

You can use dielectric grease on them, on the 2 stroke models push back on rubber grommet on sensor and put grease on wires where they go into sensor to prevent corrosion.

Thanks, but I mean thermo-conductive paste

Thanks, I'll definitely use dielectric grease on the electrical connections. My question is more about establishing the best possible heat transfer between the head and the sensor.

        No it's not needed.
