trim gauge not working on tach

I recently repowered my boat with 02 200 hpdi and changed the tachs on my boat with ones that came with the new motor. The tach and oil level indicator work fine on both upper and lower station but the trim gauge on both tachs are reading one bar from the up position and the last bar is blinking and there is no change when I raise or lower the trim. Any help would be apreciated.

If they are the digital tachs then check the dipswitch setting in back of tach, should be set up, down, down

Check to see if trim cam(plastic bank around tilt tube on motor) is not broken and trim sender does move up and down, may be stuck.
