yamaha fireing problem

i have a 2000 f40 mshy that the number 2 plug will not fire. number 1 and 3 plugs will fire. i unplug the little wire off of the number 3 coil and pluged it into the number 2 coil and it fires. so that tells me the coil is working. anybody might know what else it might be. thanks

Have you taken the ohm and voltage readings for the charge coils, pulsar coils and ignition coils?
How about the CDI output voltages?
These will tell you if it is electrical and not fuel related

You will need a peak reading voltmeter or a DVA with a regular meter
