115 f 2003 electrical problem

hi i have a problem with a 2003 115hp f yamaha done 260hrs it has the engine light flashing and only once on the last trip out it had a delayed start, wound over but didnt fire until the hand throttle was activated then started and run like a dream, we have put the yds on and there are no current faults detected only a previous faults detected 100hrs ago at 148hrs the shift position switch no 28 and the pulsar coil faults displayed, it now starts and runs good and idles at 800rpm and engine light still flashing, any suggestions please. the tps is measuring the correct voltage.

If you have water separator fuel filters with water detection sensor then may be a water in fuel warning. If not getting a warning buzzer then it wont show code on diagnostic.

thanks for your help but it doesnt have a fuel/water sensor so im still at a loss?? im wondering if i have a faulty gauge?? cheers jim
