Hard starting

I have a 2001 f115, when I start the motor when it is cold it usually fires up right away when i have run it for a while and shut it off and then try to restart it, it turns over a lot before it will start. I was told it could be an overheating problem, where should I start for process of elimination?

If you think it's overheating then replace water pump and check thermostats. Try idling engine for a minute before shutting engine off to see if starts back up quicker, it will help to cool engine down before shutting off.
