  • Need wiring help

Bought a speedo/fuel gauge on ebay and need help with wiring. It's a digital with some wiring connected to it, one wire has 6y8-82521-21 the other isn't marked but has two pinks two blacks one blue and one white. I already have the digital tach with trim /tilt. I know I need the fuel sensor and wiring from it but what does the speedo get signal from? If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it!

    Thank's Bill S.

That part number is a Command Link pigtail bus wire. Unless you have a 2006 or newer HPDI or four stroke fuel injected motor Command Link gauges wont work on your motor. If you do have Command Link compatable model then you will need to find out if the tach in your boat is Command Link gauge or standard Yamaha digital.

      wiring

The tach I have is a standard digital round gauge. My motor is a 2010 200 hp four stroke. With the speedo/ fuel gauge I got a bus bar #6y8-81920-01, what else do I need to rig this up?

Thank's for your time, Bill S.

        You would need
6Y8-82521-51-00 Pigtail Bus wire(between engine and inline hub)
        6Y8-81920-11-00 Inline Hub
6Y8-82553-21-00 20ft Main Bus wire(also available in 10,15,25 and 30ft), between inline hub and hub at console.
60V-8A4L1-01-00 Speed sensor kit to install on engine.
        6Y8-8356N-01-00 Wire harness
        6Y8-83553-01-00 Wire harness
        (2)6Y8-82582-11-00 cap
