Jet Drive - overheats

Hi guys - I've got a 150JTX outboard jet.. but alas at low rpm I've got a 150 hp vacum cleaner.

The design from OB Jet has a serious flaw, the jet screw is tremendously powerfull and can chew right thru sand & shell - the problem is the cooling system is the exact cooling system on any 150 & all the cooling H20 is pulled right from the top of the jet screw - sand & all.

I've taken the engine apart so many times I'm going to wear the bolts out. Has anyone succesfully plumbed a remote water pickup via the wash down fitting on the side of the jet drive & plugged the factory fittings?

No I dont know of a way. The book says not to run in less than 2 ft of water but the V6 jets like you know will suck it up even in 2 ft.
