Is there a inexpensive way of adding a fuel flow meter to a boat?

There are aftermarket fuel flow meters like Flow Scan but I don't any any information on them and not sure if cheaper than Yamaha. The Yamaha is 6Y5-W0088-53-00 Fuel Management gauge, single engine -

Yes it will, it does require either a Yamaha digital speedometer or a GPS NMEA 0183(GPS lead not included in kit) output to get a speed signal.Comment

Fuel FLow Meter
This is an old thread but it's just the sort of info I need. I've been offered a set of gauges that are a perfect match for my motors, twin 2000, 2-stroke, 150HP, HPDIs. I'm particularly interested in the fuel flow meter. However, the fuel flow transducers are not part of the package so I will have to find them. I'm not having much luck finding the transducers, can someone give me the part numbers? Anyone had experience installing the FloScan meters with the HPDI motors? FloScan's description says their meters won't work with the HPDI motors with low and high pressure fuel systems.Comment

Here is installation guide but it doesn't state what to set GPS, contact GPS manufactor for information on that.
