Hi experts,
I'm new to this forum and I have read many great posts. I currently have a new 2009 Carolina Skiff JV17 tiller model I just picked up in Edenton, NC. I want to power this boat with a Yamaha 40 HP EFI tiller with power trim and tilt. The current Yamaha model list shows two versions of the F40: The F40LEHA has a 20" shaft, electric start, and a tiller handle. The F40LA has a 20" shaft, electric start and power tilt and trim. To get the motor I want I either have to add power tilt and trim to the F40LEHA or add the tiller handle to the F40LA. Which would be the easiest and less expensive way to go. I also would appreciate the part numbers and costs of the parts needed to accomplish the upgrade and the approximate cost of installation.
