Manual to electric start

Can I convert my Yamaha 25B outboard from manual start to electric? Engine number 1001820 What is involved with such conversion?

We don't have any information or parts list on a 25B model and not sure if can be converted.

I did this once to a 40hp and never again, it cause nothing but headaches! If it's a newer model Yamaha and you can get hold of a factory kit then go for it. Good Luck.

Thank you. I think the outboard is a 2003 model. Does anyone know if there is a factroy conversion kit available?

Yamaha doesn't offer electric start kits for the USA models but not sure about the European models.
