Air screw turns on 1989 175 2-stroke

I noticed my plugs were too wet, I'am trying to set the air screw right what is a good start. I checked them and they are at 31/4 turns out. seems like a lot, I don't have a manual for that engine. I also noticed it's burning more fuel. and less power. checked compression and 120 and 118 lbs. New plugs, filters. starts right up, revs fine but under load just burning more fuel. any help would be appreciated

86-93 175hp is 1 3/8 turns
P175(Pro model) is 1 1/8 port side and 1 5/8 starboard side.

thank you, that tell me why they are wet! I'll set the air screw and give it a sea trial.
