92 40 HP Yamaha bogging down

1992 40 hp bogs down going to full throttle. Carbs are clean and idles just fine. I can put the throttle up and while it is bogging down partially cover up the carb inlets and it will rev up like normal. Acts like it's not getting enough fuel. I can see gas squirting out the top of the spray nozzle while it's bogging down. Any suggestions? I had it sitting partially on a boat lift and put in gear so I can rev it up in gear.

Check the basics compression,spark,timing,and fuel.
Sounds like plugged jets or fuel starvation, but it could be timing.
Check timing with a timing light
check the fuel pump pressure and vacuum with a gauge. see if it is sucking air in with fuel by using a clear piece of tubing in line to carbs.
Can you tell if one or more cylinders have the problem by choking the individual carbs? Clean the carbs.
