1998 Yamaha 200 HP - Busted Piston

Checking to see if anyone has had a problem with Yamaha pistons? Two years ago, #1 piston cracked with no logical cause. This weekend #3 piston did the same. Both pistons have a small hair line crack, somwhat off center of the middle, with a "V" near the bottom and a 1/2 inch chunk missing.

Yamaha gave no help at all! They were not interested in any of my problems.

Piston skirt cracking or breaking is usualy caused by to much piston to cylinder clearance( piston slap) measure cyl. for wear, out of round and taper and piston for excessive wear
