thought it maybe the over heat alarm. pump working well while running. though maybe the safety lanyard nope. took cowling off to see oil resovoir almost empty. tank was almost full. filled the resovoir to the fill line. boat ran all day after that with no alarm.got back home checked the resovoir and it was full. confused? 2001 200hp ox66 salt water series.

May be a loose wire or bad connection. Check wire harness at oil tank in boat to see if has corrosion on terminals in connector. Check connector at engine, check grounds on engine are clean and tight. -
I have the same problem, I've checked wires and connections they are all seem to be o.k, I asked a friend that know more than me.(not much)joke.
He told me that there is a filter screen in the large oil tank. to take it out and clean it or better replace it. will get to it tomorrow, but it sound right. I can hear my pump and it does pump oil, but very slowly.Comment
