Yamaha 2.5 Hp 4 stroke

Hi there.
I'm new at this site, The reason why i'm here is that i have an 2.5hp 4stroke motor.(Yamaha)
It was store for a while and now i want to use it,it giving me a hard time.
First of all i cleaned up the carb. Then it start to overfloating. Now no more overfloating but it wont rev up.
I wish that any one can help me with this or if i need the buy a new carb tell me so i can start looking for a new carb.. thanks a lot guys hope i can come out of this problem..

Some of the passages or jets in carb are probably still plugged up, may need to remove low and high speed jets, soak in carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air.

I try what you guy tell me to do.
now the motor idle smooth,but still wont rev..
At the top of the carb on your right hand is a hole,when i cover that hole with my finger then is start rev up good but wont idle,when i remove my finger it will idle good again but no rev. Now im comfused,i dont know what to do...

Check compression, check for spark at spark plugs, probably will need to remove and clean carb.
