fairia hmmmm that is how you spell junk in Italian.
why bother?
maintain your gear, use the setup and go play.
just sayin.
cause I have a commercial guy dropped of an F225TXR.
complaint , overheat at low speeds.
solution, saw the driveshaft in two just below the powerhead.
remove the powerhead and drill and tap the stub for removal.
replace the driveshaft and water pump.
10 yrs and 4400+ hours and the gearcase was never removed. aint coming off now either.
the maint schedule is in hours OR a calendar date.

original almost everything including the timing belt.
he does change his own engine and gear lube occasionally.
now he is bitching cause it is a Yamaha problem.
I did give him the Yamaha customer number and wished him well.
