yamalube 2-m vs 2-s

what's the differance between 2-m and 2-s oil. the 2-s oil say's for use in all air and water cooled 2 strokes. But say's for use in snowmobiles atvs golf carts etc. could the 2-s oil do harm to a 2 stroke outboard?

The 2M is formulated for outboards it's TCW-3 certified(required for outboard engines), made to be used in marine 2 cycle water cooled engines. The 2S I'm not familiar with but is formulated for snowmobile's and motorcycle's and is a semi synthetic oil for 2 stroke engines.

2-m 2-s oil

yes but will the 2-s harm the motor. the guy i bought the motor from was running yamalube 2-s. he put about 150 hours on it. The motor runs fine so I would assume it has not done any damage. obviously i will switch to 2-m.

Not sure what the long term affects would be but I would switch to the 2M.
