My dad has very bad hearing. He has tried several times to crank the running engine. Does any one have an easy clean way to conect a bright red light to show engine is running? I;ve heard of people doing it but not a mechanic so will need some help here as to where to tap in ti the wiring to get this set up for him. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Maybe install a tachometer for dad to look at? Once he got used to the tach and glancing at it, he would get a good "feel" for when the motor is running. I know some of the smaller 4 stroke motors idle very smoothly and quietly. Better to deal with this before dad screws up a starter motor or flywheel. You mighty lucky to still have your dad! Good Luck!
