head gasket

I did a compression test due to engine idling rough and power loss. 3rd cylinder was low so I pulled off the head and the gasket looked like it was rusted letting water into the head. Would I need to check anything after replacing the head gasket? Would saltwater cause the head gasket to corrode over a period of time?

clean mating surfaces and as long as theres no scoring yo should be good to go.
