  • Gauges for and F60TLR

Greetings. I would like to add some gauges to an 18-foot boat with a 2008 Yamaha F60 TLR. Options under consideration are the multifunction digital tachometer and the Pro II Series analog gauges.

The analog gauges are preferred but it seems that separate wires and harnesses would complicate connections to the motor.

The boat.net part numbers under consideration are:
    6Y5-8350T-81-00
MULTIFUNCTION TACHOMETER (Gauge only no harness)
    68F-82553-50-00
OPTIONAL ENGINE TO TACH HARNESS (trim and oil harness) 16FT

The multifunction tachometer appears elsewhere with the part number:

6YR-W0035-E2-00 Yamaha Digital Multi-Function Outboard Tachometer. This part number appears to include a harness.

Question 1: What are the current part numbers for the multifunction tachometer and harness?

    The analog gauges would be:

    6Y7-83503-10-00
    VOLT METER WHITE FACE
    6Y7-83504-10-00
    HOUR METER WHITE FACE
    6Y7-83540-70-00
    TACHOMETER WHITE FACE
    6Y7-83670-30-00
    TRIM METER WHITE FACE
    6Y7-85750-30-00
    FUEL METER WHITE FACE

Question 2: Do these analog gauges come with their own harnesses?

Question 3: It appears that the volt-tach-trim-hour harness(es) would need to enter through the small port on the left side of the motor. This port is now covered with a rubber plug. Will the original plug need to be cut or drilled to route the harnesses?

    Thanks

For digital gauges on your motor you would need 6YR-W0035-E2-00(2005 and newer) Multifunction tach kit which does include wire harness.
The analog gauges will work but would also need 6X3-8258A-00-00(between engine and tach) 16ft Trim/oil harness(longer ones available) and 6Y5-83553-N0-00 gauge power harness(between gauges and key switch).
There is a hole in rubber rigging grommet for trim/oil harness on engine.
