How do I know what year it was made??

Hi,

May be a daft question, but am looking for a workshop manual, but dont know what year the engines are!!
They are 50 DETOL theres a small F in the corner of the panel and the serial number is 6H5 L 510145

Any help would be great, and whats the best manual???
