My motor( 60hp 4 stroke) failed to start (on the lake) after monkeying around with the wires near the key switch it started. (last time, can not start now).
In addition to the starter not engaging the trim switch on the remote does not work. ( the one on the engine does). I noticed before the motor failed to start the TACH was registering ZERO. While I was *****ing, it would occasionally register then be zero again.
I thought it might be a bad connection, I checked and cleaned them (on the battery).
Next I thought it might be the switch, but the trim tab should work , I think.
I hate to spend 16o bucks for a new switch as that may not be the cause.
Any ideas or help needed.
