small engine symbol in mfd?

can somebody tell me what the small engine symbol in multi function display means. i've looked thru my manuals and can't find an explanation. thx

There are some tachs that was sold here in US that had a water in fuel warning that was actually for European model motors. It causes no problems. For models with water detection the buzzer will sound when in neutral to signal there is water in fuel.

just to confirm what it does?

that engine symbol is a water in fuel warning on my MFD. Is that right? any one have a further info on how it works? or what i should chk if it comes on . Currently it comes on and then goes off ( Displays Intermittently). thanks .
My motor is a 2001 150 hp HPDI .

The HPDI has the water in fuel warning, if buzzer sounds when in neutral and when put in gear buzzer goes off then there is water in engine fuel filter. Would need to clean water out of engine filter and replace water separator filter.
