trim\tilt

how do i bleed my system ,i was told up down alot, also up fill to top let set awhile. any help would be great thanks

Loosen manual release screw, raise and lower motor by hand without using electric trim motor. Check fluid level each time raise up all the way. Usually about 3 times up and down does it.

Tilt bleeding procedure

I'm also having problems with my 2001 60 hp. I feel sure I got air in the system when I tried to add some fluid. I have released the manual release screw and raised the motor up and down by hand 8 times checking the tilt fluid along the way. The fluid appears full now when I check the motor at the full tilt position, but my tilt works now worst than before. What am I doing wrong? I must be missing something ?????

That should have gotten enough air out of system for it to work, may have a problem inside trim unit preventing it from working.
