Hello Guys,
I am a newbie here....with a question.
My father called me today to ask me a question about his 150 Yamaha. He had a head gasket leak and water was apparently getting into the starboard side center cylinder. About a third of the cylinder walls are scored at, what he described as, about 5 thousands deep. His questions was, does he park it since he cannot afford to fix it right now, or will it destroy his engine if he puts it back together and runs it?
I told him to park it until he could afford to re-sleeve it, but I don't know for sure if it would actually hurt it any worse to continue to run it. What do ya'll think?
Thanks for the help,
Brad
