  • Mild propeller damage from rock

I was *****ing fairly slow and hit some rocks, luckily the damage to the propeller was minimal. The fine eges of the propeller got eaten up a bit but I think I can file them back to normal. Someone told me that they might be out of balance now and they might have to be machined/re-balanced? I'm assuming if I cant feel any vibrations with it running out of the water then I should be fine? I just don't want to spend money on something that is not neccesary.
    Motor is a 2002 25hp yamy

If it didn't bend the blades probably will be ok.

On two of the three blades there is a very small bend right at the very tips of the blade, almost unoticeable. I believe I can hammer it out back to normal though hope it works.

Yesturday I had a very succesfull day renewing my propeller. The small dents near the tips flatten out fairly easy with a couple mild taps with the hammer, I then filed the edges to perfection, gave it a good sanding, and put on a couple of coats of glossy white tremclad. Thing looks like it's never been used.
