I want to install a tach on my F40. I have a battery to power the tach (used for lights) but don't know which wire to use for the pulse signal. There is no harness plug etc on the powerhead.
You would have to run a wire to one of the green wires from stator on engine for tach signal. Install a switch between positive battery post and ignition terminal on tach to turn tach off and on, run a ground wire from battery to ground post on tach. Set tach for 12 pole alternator.
