Conversion question

I have a 1997 Yamaha 40hp tiller motor (model C40ELRV) I want to convert it to remote control steering, throttle and drive gear. Not necessary to relocate electric start or choke...what do I need? Thanks for your help

That model number(C40TLRV) is a remote model, it must have been converted to tiller. You would have to compare parts diagram to your motor to determine what parts would be needed.
Look at this diagram to see if all these parts are there Yamaha Outboard Parts 1997 C40TLRV CONTROL Diagram
See is number 7,8 and 13 are there Yamaha Outboard Parts 1997 C40TLRV BOTTOM COWLING Diagram
Would need 63D-48511-10-00 steering hook and 63D-61350-00-00 steering guide for steering.

In my post I listed my model number as C40ELRV...not C40TLRV as you quoted...please let me know about parts if you know..thanks!

C40ELRV is a 2 cylinder model and is completely different.
The remote conversion kit is 6R6-48501-00-00, but is no longer available. May be able to get parts separately, would need all parts listed here in diagram CONTROL ATTACHMENT PUSH TO OPEN (ALT 6) Diagram
