'89 40hp to '09 25hp or 50hp control?

I am leaning towards changing my 1989 40hp Yamaha to a '09 or '10 25hp two stroke Yamaha. My question is will the controls and wiring match the new model?

Also the same question applies if I chose a 50hp two stroke.
