1989 oil injection pump problem

I have 1989 200 v6 yamaha oil is going into one cylinder when the engine is off . all the oil drains. Anybody here knows whats going on.

on an engine that old, it could be a number of things, my suggestion is unhook the oil injection and pre mix at 50:1 i really cant see potentially spending a couple hundred buck so a 20yr old engine. just my $.02

Would need to replace oil pump with 6G5-W1320-00-00 Oil pump kit.

Thats what I thought, nomaly how long those pumps last?, has the type or brand of oil have anything to do with it.

Boats.net can answer your question better than me but for what its worth. I have twin 1986 115,s oil injected motors. I had to replace one oil pump about five years ago due to problem you described, however other engine still has original oil pump on it.
