Burning too much oil

I have a 2001 200 HPDI. I went out today and burned 48 gallons if fuel but burned 2 gallons of oil. Any ideas?

i would suggest looking for oil in your bilge, unless your motor was smoking like chimney.

Not smoking at all. I will check the bilge tomorrow.
