  • Yamaha drive shaft bushing

I pulled the lower unit on my 1990 Yamaha 150HP outboard to install a water pump kit. When I pulled it, a brass bushing came out with the drive shaft. It isn't frozen to the shaft but it's very tight and it's cracked to boot. I can't find this bushing or at least don't think I see it on any of the parts list diagrams, I expect it was supposed to stay in the engine. Can anyone identify the bushing? Where can I find it? And finally, will I be able to replace it without tearing the rest of the engine apart?

Thanks, I did stumble on that parts breakdown last night and found the bushing at a parts store. I hope the new bushing will work, I'm afraid the case may be wallowed out. It is probably supposed to be pressed in and it certainly shouldn't come out through the circlip.

      Again, thank you.
