03 yamaha 25 outbaord problems

My motor will run fine at idle, put it in gear up the rpm's and I start getting the spit & sputter. This is not under a load, just in the yard with the rabbit ears on it. Its been to the shop, they said carbs cleaned, new plugs and its running great. Obviously not. It was in the shop about two months ago, today was the first day I tried to run it. Ive been reworking the whole boat. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

If it's not been run for 2 months carbs could be plugged up again from bad gas.

when the boat left the shop the gas was run out of the motor. It has not been hooked up since. I just cleaned both carbs again, still no good. Could this be somethng electrical? To check on a fue problem, when it starts spitting I pull out the choke a little slowly, still no good.

It could be an ignition problem, have you tried a new set of spark plugs?

10 4 the repair shop did.

check fuel lines for kinks
