Hi everyone , I am new to the board and new at fixing engines. Was wondering how many bolts from the head case assembly go into the block of the main crank case assembly? the reason I am asking is I went to change out the tstat and broke off the heads of the bolts. Started thinking it may be easier to tackle a bunch of headaches once by replacing everything aft of the main crankcase assembly....anodes, gaskets, prv, tstat, washers & bolts...priced it and can do it for about $400. However I do not want to create further adventures by breaking off any headbolt that goes into the main crankcase assembly from the head assembly. Was wondering what is the least amount of bolts I would need to remove the head crankcase assembly from the main crankcase assembly with the idea of replacing everything aft of the main assembly with new parts? Anyhelp would be great, thanks
