I have seen a few post about fuel issues but no clear resolution to some problems. My 225 runs OK above about 3000 rpm but will not stay running at low RPM. I have replaced fuel filters which had significant water and problem still exist. I can hear low pressure pump kick on about every 20 seconds when it will run but not sure it is coming on when the engine goes through a phase of shutting down at low RPM. Went out last night and ran for 1 hour at high RPM but the engine died coming back to the dock at idle speed. Runs only if you pump the primer and rev up the RPM's.
Would a bad low pressure pump work eratically or should I look elsewhere?
