2004 Yamaha 50 no topend

I have a 50 yamaha that would not plane the boat,I pulled the carbs and found the bottom carb to be pretty dirty .I pulled all off and cleaned them now It will crank and run well and it will plane the boat but between half and full throttle there is no difference in the speed of the motor.I have not checked compression yet but will today.Any help would be appreciated......

Do the compression test. Could have a fuel restriction in fuel system in boat, plugged passages in carbs still, fuel pump bad or an ignition problem.
