looking for some info on the changing of the filter inside the VST.I got some water /filth in there which i drained out of the Vst but i believe the filter inside may be clogged as well. I don't think any fuel is being pumped up into the next inline filter. engine runs fine on starting fluid but just is not getting any gas.

The filter outside in the engine that is visible should be full from the Mechanical pump on the engine. If that has fuel it should be pushing fuel to VST tank. I have changed the Screen filter in VST tank and it requires the removal of the intake. Then you can get to the tank and open it up.. Be careful of the float and needle and seat when you seperate the VST tank. It is not to hard of a task, just pay attention to all steps and put it back together the same way... Good luck.
