I cant turn left

I have a '87 yammi 200 and was out at the lake house last weekend. Boat ran just fine all morning then i went to dock it to have lunch and relax a lil bit and get back in the boat to cruise around the lake some more and could not turn left, i could only turn right. i tried spraying lube to see if it would loosen and did only to get stuck again after a few turns. could the lube spray i used clean out the grease in the steering cylinder? do i need to re-grease the steering bar or is there a grease fitting i can grease up? i have cable steering.

Best to remove steering cable from motor, clean inside of tilt tube(could be rusted or grease is dried out and harded) and regrease steering cable.
