  • Help with fuel issue - 2006 90 HP 4 stroke

Over the weekend I was cruising at about 20 mph when my engine felt as though somebody throttled back and cut off the engine. I actually thought I hit something but after a quick inspection all was fine. It cranked right back up and I was off for a day of fishing.

On my way home, the same thing happened except this time, it would not start. I checked the primer bulb and gave it a few squeezes. In doing this I could feel that no gas was pushing through. Once back at the dock (towed), I took the fuel/water seperator off but there was no water in the fuel at all. After putting the seperator back on, I squeezed the primer bulb again and sure enough, it would not pull gas into the seperator...only air.

Could this be as easy as a faulty primer bulb?

Sounds like it has an air leak in fuel line or filter, check for loose or bad hoses, replace seperator filter.
