100 hp 4 stroke

Having problems getting the engine to start when cold. Carb job 2 years ago. No fuel water separater on engine. I have been told the fuel tank (fiberglass) is deterorting because of ethanol gas and sunlight causing sludge in the gas. Any thoughts on this??????

You need to get rid of that gas tank, install fuel/water filter, clean carbs and probably replace fuel lines. It looks like ethanol is here to stay.
