I have bought a second hand 8hp longshaft 2stroke and wonder where the ID number is .

It is located on transom bracket, on side of bracket where it connects to boat

I need to know the torc moment for adjusting the head cilinder bolts off a Yamaha 8a. I don't know exactly the year it was built in. I think it is 1987. Maybe even older.

torque in 2 steps first torque to 2.9 ft lb's, then torque to 5.8 ft lb's
